Research Project: Customer based innovation in tourism (CBIT)
By the use of business intelligence methods, promising innovation areas at the level of tourism destinations are identified. For this aim, firstly, a concept of a data warehouse-based management information system has been developed and evaluated. Secondly, web-usage and content mining is applied on major destination web-sites to gain new customer-based knowledge. Finally, a new destination brand equity model has been developed and validated.
